I’m always intrigued by how objects relate to boundaries. In fact, my compositional approach is often to choose a substrate shape and then design art that challenges, questions, or breaches that shape and yet still respects it as a discrete complementary entity, its overlaid and interrupted framework necessary to the ultimate potential of the design. In this case, a spiral within a rectangle; in life, the individual human in community.
